Julie & Sarah
Hi, I’m Julie, co-founder of CPR Attack. I have been a CPR instructor for over 10 years and also have a background working as an EMT, as well as a divemaster. You may wonder why do I teach CPR?
My friends and I were scuba diving off a friend’s boat when I noticed something was not quite right with my buddy who was in the water. It turns out he was having a heart attack. Long story short as a divemaster I was trained on how to handle such an emergency. Had I not been trained, the outcome would have turned out much differently. That situation encouraged me to become an advocate for CPR and to get people involved and trained as you will never know when you will need it.
Hi, I’m Sarah, Co- Founder of CPR Attack. I love the outdoors and being deep in the wilderness. I have a background as a wilderness EMT, working with the Sierra Club. I also was on the mountain search and rescue team for about 4 ½ years. Being involved with these two organizations got me motivated to teach others the skills needed to survive out in the backcountry and what to do in case of an emergency.
I also worked as an EMT at a trauma unit in L.A County and have been teaching CPR for around 12 years. I love working with students and teaching them not only skills but to also help build their confidence so they will know what to do if an emergency ever arises.
